About ASARHA practice built around accountability.
Since 2011 we have grown from a three-person studio into a 120-strong group — while keeping the one thing that made the early work good: a partner who stays with the project until the doors open.
Our story
ASARH began with a frustration shared by three architects: the industry treats design and delivery as separate trades, and the client pays for the gap.
Our first commissions were small — a warehouse conversion, two houses, a clinic fit-out. What set them apart was not the architecture; it was that each one opened on time and inside budget, because the people who drew them also priced them, tendered them and stood on site while they were built. Clients noticed. They came back with larger briefs, and then with portfolios.
Fifteen years later the model has not changed, only the scale. We now work across nine markets, on projects from single residences to million-square-metre masterplans, and we still measure ourselves on the same two questions: did it open when we said it would, and does it still work a decade on?

Four commitments we are willing to be measured against.
These are not values on a wall. Each one has a mechanism behind it, written into how we staff, report and review every commission.
Numbers before renders
Every option we present carries an area schedule, a cost range and a programme impact. Beauty is easier to judge when the trade-offs are visible.
Build what can be built
We detail with local trades and available materials in mind. Ambition is worth nothing if it is value-engineered out in month four.
Design for the second owner
Structure, services and envelope are planned for adaptation. The most sustainable building is one nobody needs to demolish.

2011 — Founded
Three architects, one studio in Bangkok, and a warehouse conversion as the first commission.

2014 — Interiors established
A dedicated interiors team is brought in-house after a run of shell-and-core projects where the fit-out let the building down.

2017 — Development management
Owners begin asking us to sit on their side of the table. The delivery arm is formalised.

2020 — Singapore studio
A second office opens to serve regional clients and support work across South-East Asia.

2024 — Performance standard
Post-occupancy measurement becomes a contractual deliverable on every project the practice designs.

Lower carbon, longer life.
We treat embodied carbon as a design constraint of the same weight as cost. That usually means keeping what already stands, choosing structure carefully, and designing for change rather than for a single tenant.
- Whole-life carbon assessment on every project above 5,000 m².
- Reuse tested first — demolition treated as an option to be justified.
- Material passports issued at handover for future adaptation.
- Energy performance verified in use, not only at design stage.
- Supply chain audited for labour standards on all major packages.
